Tucked away on the Eastern side of the new single family home development at Sheffield by Morningstar is a new trail that loops from Lofting Street to Brownlee Avenue. The trail is gravel, wide and lined with wood fences that run along protected green space and fish sensitive creeks. Landscaping has been completed behind the fencing with a variety of plants and shrubbery.
Trail Entrances at Lofting Street and Brownlee Avenue
The trail entrances at Lofting Street and Brownlee Avenue provide options for starting points. If you choose to start from Lofting Street, be prepared for a slight downhill walk. Although the trail entrance at Lofting has an incline, it does level off as you progress. On the other hand, if you enter from Brownlee Avenue, you’ll find a wide-open and flat pathway.
Moreover, as you navigate the trail, you’ll encounter some slight curves and inclines. While on the trail, take a moment to appreciate the breathtaking views of the valley, river, and East and South Exposure.
Future Development
Looking ahead, the future development of this area is noteworthy. The trail surrounds land earmarked for the construction of 120 townhome units by Polygon Homes, with a designated zoning of Townhouse Residential.
